The Prompt
Using the model of future cones, take each of the protagonists you create to develop a new model for testing futures that seeks to integrate each of the protagonists into something that is greater than a single futures cone (a.k.a multi-cones) (projected 10 years from 2021 to 2031).
Potential futures: all the futures that lie ahead
Possible: what might happen - links between today’s world and the suggested one
Plausible: what could happen based on our knowledge of how things work
Probable: what’s most likely to happen
Preferable: what we want to happen (intersect probable and plausible)
The Process
Create The Protagonists
The Protagonists x Future Trends
We map out the emotionscape, dreamscape and all the things that make our protagonists unique human beings to understand how their motivations, fears and expectations can drive their future scenarios.
The Intermap (multi-cones)
In 2021, none of the protagonists’ lives has intersected. The probing scenarios are created to project how they might intersect given the state of the world in 10 years and their personal decisions.
Scenario 1: Travel
Scenario 2: Work
Scenario 3: Politics
