Hello! I’m Nam.

I am a Hanoi-born, NYC-based experience designer/strategist working at the intersection of design, technology and community. My design journey started from building a skillsharing platform to alleviate social isolation for working moms and older adults, through which I learned that design was my superpower to help build a more just and colorful world.

My work has allowed me to explore different sectors, from art-tech to impact investing for the creative economy. I use strategic design to deliver values to end users through dynamite digital experiences, products and services. Currently, I am working on digital transformation projects at a design and engineering consultancy called Method, a GlobalLogic company, Hitachi Group.

As a designer and strategist, I am passionate about the form and the impact of the work I put into the world. I believe that innovation is the most powerful when it engages with emerging issues and drives systemic change, whether on a micro or macro level.

Besides design-related matters, I connect communities through creativity, food and social justice. I also enjoy writing about migration, cities and identity.

I graduated from the M.S. program in Strategic Design & Management at Parsons School of Design. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media & Entrepreneurship from Bennington College.

In my free time, you can find me cooking up a storm, or celebrating anything Viet, queer, and artistic.

Talk to me about:

  • Urban mobility and all things cities-related

  • Social movement/ justice

  • Food systems

  • Foreign languages

  • Music

  • Healthy materials

  • Anything that you nerd about
